Every Book I Love is on the Table. Every Book I Love is out to Sea

Minus Plato has a mission for you, if you choose to accept it.

As you may have noticed, the last few posts have been getting closer and closer to discussing the book Medea by the Soundwalk Collective.

I had seen the book many years ago in the Wexner Center Store and on discovering that the artists had participated in documenta 14, with their work Transmission as part of their public radio series Every Time A Ear di Soun, I wanted to return to the WexStore to buy the book. I did so today, and the store manager, Matt Reber, gave me a generous discount when he heard my story of first encountering the book 5 years ago and that I had today returned to get it.

When I saw that there was another copy left in the store, I made a deal with Matt that if anyone comes into the store, finds the book, cites my blog and then asks for him personally, they too will receive a generous discount.

For my own part, I will buy the new owner of the book coffee and cake at the Wexner cafe – Heirloom – and then we can talk about Medea and Soundwalk Collective together.

Will anyone out there willing to embark on this mission?

[February 20, 2019, Mission Update: this book is now part of the Book Auction Sportula Fundraiser to support the work of The Sportula: Microgrants for Classics Students.
