When no one is looking: Donald Lokuta’s Art World

The artist Donald Lokuta, whose work is the subject of the exhibition I have curated called Donald Lokuta: Plato’s Cave-Segal’s Studio, which is currently on view at the Urban Arts Space, is visiting Columbus for a series of events this week. These events include an in-depth gallery tour and a talk in the Wexner Film//Video theater on the sculptor George Segal’s photography tomorrow (Tuesday August 27th), an interdisciplinary roundtable about artistic process (Wednesday August 28th) and a reception (with the other current UAS exhibition In League) on Thursday August 29th. Also, as part of these events, there is the exclusive dance performance – Out of Cast and Cave – commissioned especially for the exhibition and choreographed by Leigh Lotocki (for details, visit: http://uas.osu.edu/program/out-cast-and-cave-performance-donald-lokuta-platos-cave-segals-studio).
